Don't have the time to put into a
full dive course, but want to get certified in an upcoming holiday anyway? Now there's a
quick and easy program designed especially for you! This is your chance to learn diving in
a short amount of time. |
As a sub program of our Open Water program, the Scuba Diver rating
allows you to get certified quickly and easily. |
This program
is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of
having an experienced guide with you at all times. The knowledge and skills you learn in
this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that
await. |
 |
The Open Water Diver course uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver
course, so
you are already on your way to continuing dive
adventures.
As a Scuba Diver you can dive under the direct supervision of a divemaster or higher
professional on your next holiday or dive trip. With your certification card you will be
able to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other
services. Anyone over the age of 15
qualifies for this program. So, let's face it! No more
excuses, its time to dive! |

Now is the time to dive into the Open Water Diver
course, the most popular dive program in the world! Throughout the course, you'll learn
fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. This will be done
in three sections. |
|
- Theory to make you
familiar with the background and theory of diving and let you be aware of the risks of
diving, there are a few topics you'll have to learn
about. This will be conducted in one
of our very nice classrooms and many different materials in many different languages are
at your service. Discussions, reading, watching a video, even computers are used to make
learning as easy as possible for you.
- Confined water
training to make you feel more confident
with the equipment and the techniques in a safe way, you will first make some dives in a
pool. This offers the possibility to monitor the basic
skills, so that you later in the
open water sessions don't need so much time to practice
them, but have more time to enjoy
the aquatic life.
- Open water
training to show your instructor you will be
able to dive on your own in the future, you perform the skills you learned before in the
pool. With one little difference, this time
you're not in the pool but in the open sea.
Finally there will be enough time left to just "swim around" and enjoy the
aquatic life. And if you are lucky, you will get to see your instructor get nipped by a
trigger fish, almost worth doing the course for.
|
| After completing this
course you will be certified as an Open Water Diver and have the freedom to dive with a
buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a Discover Scuba Diving
experience or are Scuba Diver certified, your credits will apply to this open water
program. |
